On April 10, 2014 the Gay Pride groups on the campus of the University of San Diego plan to hold their third annual Drag Show.  The first two Drag Shows were shameful displays featuring professional transvestites and homosexual and bisexual students masquerading as the opposite gender. The event has been spearheaded by openly lesbian theology professor Evelyn Kirkley and moderated by Gender Studies Professor Lori Watson.
At the request of the FCDF, the Vatican's Congregation for Education has now fully investigated this case and concluded that the USD Drag Show is indeed a "scandal". Since USD has thus far refused to cancel the show, the FCDF, acting in conjunction with Catholic Action for Faith and Family, has taken the case to the next level.  It has filed a formal Canon Law Petition with the Apostolic Signatura, which is the Supreme Court of the Vatican.  This is apparently the first case of its kind brought against a Catholic University in the Vatican courts. FCDF and Catholic Action have retained a distinguished Canon lawyer, admitted to the Vatican courts, to present this precedent-setting case.

Charles LiMandri, the President and Chief Counsel of the FCDF, graduated from USD Magna Cum Laude in 1977. He was Associated Students President and the Outstanding Senior Man. He later served as President of the USD National Alumni Association and Chairman of the Alumni Annual Fund, and he is the recipient of the Mother Rosalie Hill Award for exemplary service to the University. Mr. LiMandri removed his son Joseph from USD, a Freshman student on academic scholarship, over its sponsoring of this scandalous, anti-Catholic, Drag Show.
