RESPONSE TO REQUEST (SEE BELOW - PLEASE NOTE: All emails sent include an "un-subscribe link")
Dear Ms. _______________:
At your request, we are removing your name from our list. Your e-mail is off-the mark though, since the Vatican has now officially agreed with our position and disagreed with yours. In any event, since this will be our last communication with you, and since you are a health care provider, you will undoubtedly want to familiarize yourself with some of the cold hard facts regarding the health risks of the behavior being promoted at USD. This first link is from the Center For Disease Control which hardly qualifies as a hate group. Sadly, this is what they report in their latest fact sheet on New HIV Infections: “In 2010, MSM [men who have sex with men] accounted for 63% of estimated new HIV infections in the United States and 78% of infections among all newly infected men. From 2008 to 2010, new HIV infections increased 22% among young (aged 13-24) MSM and 12% among MSM overall.” See full link here: http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/risk/gender/msm/facts/index.html.
For more information on the health risks associated with this conduct from a Catholic medical doctor, you may want to also take a look at this link as well: http://www.hprweb.com/2012/05/same-sex-attractions-in-youth-and-their-right-to-informed-consent/. If you really cared about the physical and spiritual well-being of USD students then you would think and write differently on these important issues. In the meantime, I suggest you drop your un-Christian personal attacks and offensive tone. They betray your rank hostility to the true mission and purpose of USD as envisioned by its dedicated Catholic founders.
Finally, since for some reason you found it appropriate to insinuate that there must be “something wrong” with my marriage, please note that my wife Barbara and I met on the USD Alumni Board, we were married in Founders Chapel at USD, and we have been happily married for over 20 years. We have also taught Pre-Cana to engaged couples for the Diocese of San Diego. We have five wonderful children who are getting good Catholic educations at schools that take our faith seriously. Did you really mean to attack my marriage? How very sad for you.

Please remove my name from this list.
I was added to this list because Mr. LiMandri had my e-mail from a USD mailing list and he has decided it is okay to use my e-mail to distribute this garbage.
I had decided to continue to get these e-mails so that I could monitor the responses and actions of this organization, although I do not agree with its mission.
Sadly, I believe that Mr. LiMandri has used this organization to let all who read know what a wonderful person he is. He lists his awards and successes at USD every chance he gets, yet slams the University in the same breathe.
I am deeply saddened and troubled that so much effort and hate is being distributed over this non-issue. I am sad that Mr. LiMandri's son had to leave USD. He will be exposed to all sorts of things in his lifetime and running away is not a good thing.
Pope Francis stated that the Catholic Church is spending far too much time on gay issues, etc. and not enough time on what is truly important.........feeding the hungry, evangelization and just being good to one another. The amount of money spent on this ridiculous campaign can be spent on doing just that.
Something must be wrong with one's marriage if someone else's choices are affecting yours.
I do not wish to hear from Mr. LiMandri again nor to hear his lawyer speak. I will continue to pray for him so that he can get off his high horse and humbly work for the good of others.
